Position Summary

1) The clinical coordinator will place graduate nurse practitioner students in appropriate clinical settings.
2) In collaboration with the Graduate clinical coordinators, initiate and complete clinical site requests for Graduate clinical practicum sites.
3) Work closely with Clinical Coordinators, faculty, preceptors, clinical sites, and Assistant Dean of the MS/DNP Programs to ensure ongoing communications with community partner preceptors.
4) Handle early intervention of student needs and participate in clinical site visits.
5) Initiate and maintain affiliation agreements
6) Coordinate requires of student health information and student compliance for HIPAA.
7) Work with the Graduate Program to document any clinical incidents per SON and University policies
8) Interface regularly with graduate students, SON support staff and administrative offices

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of three to five years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist

3 years of primary care experience
