Position Summary

This position will work directly with the ELP Chair and Director of UB’s Institute on Human Capital in the Department of Economics.
The incumbent will:
• Work on all academic and administrative aspects of their joint master’s degree program, Economic, Education, and Policy, and its related certificate programs, recruiting especially international mid-career professionals in colleges, universities, foundations, international development banks, ministries, and NGOs concerned with education, educational administration, finance, and economic development.
• Assist with grant and contract development in support of research and educational programs to advance the goals of the 3E Award connected to the Institute and ELP.
• Assist with coordinating and maintaining the information flow with administrative colleagues on instructional and research facets of the 3E project.
• Assist in the development of grant proposals both for research and for programs connected to ELP’s participation in the work of the Institute.
• Assist in Website development and maintenance, as well as other activities in connection with this joint endeavor.

Minimum Qualifications

The incumbent in this position must possess: (1) bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, economics, administration, or international relations/development; (2) a minimum of one year of experience in higher education programming and graduate administration; and (3) excellent written, communication, and verbal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the minimum position qualifications, it is preferred that the incumbent possess: (1) a relevant master’s degree, with one to three years of experience in higher education programming and graduate administration, with some experience in international contexts; (2) a minimum of one year track record in grant development, solicitation, and administration; (3) excellent written, communication, and verbal skills; and (4) strong research and computer skills.
