Position Summary

The School of Public Health and Health Professions is in search of a qualified instructional design specialist, capable of assessing student learning outcomes, and providing leadership in curriculum development. Ability to work closely with faculty to transform in-class courses into online courses, to provide guidance in the development of new online courses and programs, and to provide effective online courses. This individual would also assist faculty in integration of other new instructional methods, monitor course evaluations and if required, provide guidance on ways to improve course delivery and improve teaching outcomes. Strong prior experience with Blackboard, an earned doctorate in a related area, online teaching experience, and expertise in areas related to public health and health professions would each be viewed positively.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualified in instructional design, assessment of student learning, curriculum development. Ability to work closely with faculty to transform in-class courses into online courses, develop new online courses, and assist faculty to gain skills necessary to provide effective online courses. Earned doctorate in related area, graduate level teaching experience; 3-5 years experience in developing/implementing online courses in a post-secondary academic setting. Expertise in areas related to public health and health professions.
