Position Summary

The Department of Organization and Human Resources at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY) is searching for a Full Professor for the Donald S. Carmichael Professor of Organizational Behavior to start Fall 2018. Interested candidates must have a PhD in management or a closely related field, a demonstrated strong record of publishing in top academic outlets, be a highly effective teacher and mentor, and be committed and highly engaged through providing leadership to the department, school, university and profession. It is also important that the successful candidate desire to provide academic leadership in the form of PhD development and training, mentoring and development of junior faculty, as well as be highly collaborative and collegial and have interests in contributing to a department and school that is actively building strong ties with the business community and conducting impactful research and teaching.

The profile and stature of the UB School of Management is on the rise. The school has been ranked by the Financial Times, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates and this past year was ranked as a top 40 MBA program by Bloomberg Businessweek. Along with healthcare and entrepreneurship, the UB School of Management has identified leadership as a strategic priority.
