Position Summary

The State University of New York at Buffalo invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join Dr. Paul Cullen’s research group in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Microbiology and Immunology and Oral Biology. A position is available for a Postdoctoral Associate in the areas of signal transduction and morphogenesis. The team uses interdisciplinary approaches to study the role of MAP kinase pathways in fungal development. MAP kinase pathways are of central importance in understanding cell behavior, development, and human health. The Cullen lab is specifically interested in the connection between mucin-type receptors to Rho GTPases in MAP kinase activation and fungal pathogenesis (http://biology.buffalo.edu/faculty/cullen/). The successful applicant will conduct independent research. Opportunities exist for training in cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and genomics that will result in publications and significant career advancement.
